About this event
Detroit's musical legacy is second to none, and with Detroit Musix, we explore the pivotal records that created the mythology behind the city through a riveting long-play vinyl series called "Detroit on Wax". Come and find out new facts about your favorite tunes, or listen to never-before-heard songs from your favorite artists. This month, we dive deep into some of the most famous soundtrack LPs of all time - think Saturday Night Fever, Purple Rain, Sparkle, The Big Chill, The Wiz, Superfly, Grease, Shaft, Boomerang, Claudine, Black Panther, Cooley High and more. Admission is free, so pull up, get cozy, and vibe out!
