Privacy

Browse without an account. Reports and newsletter signups share only the information you choose to send. Here is how we handle it.

What we count

We use GoatCounter for aggregate page views and actions: ticket and organizer link clicks, searches without results, and newsletter form submissions, and paid-placement clicks grouped by campaign and page slot. Sponsor clicks count at most once per page load, not unique people or sales. These action counts do not include search text, email addresses, report or inquiry contents, business contact details or destination URLs. A newsletter form submission measures interest; beehiiv separately records confirmed subscriptions.

GoatCounter records page, approximate location and browser information without tracking cookies. We honor Do Not Track by leaving the counting script unloaded. Local previews do not load it either.

What we do not do

  • No accounts, no logins, no passwords. There is nothing here to sign into.
  • No advertising network, no tracking pixels, no social media embeds.
  • We do not sell your personal information. Service providers receive only what is needed to host the site, display a requested map, or deliver email.
  • No adding you to anything. There is a weekly email, and the only way onto it is to ask and then confirm by email.

Saved events

When you save an event, its page address is stored in this browser on your device. Unless you sign in, your saved list is not sent to us and does not sync between devices. Unsave events to remove them, or clear this site's browser data to erase the list.

Signing in

You never need an account. Saving events, submitting an event, reporting a correction and claiming a venue page all work signed out, and no part of this site is behind a sign-in.

If you choose to sign in with Google, we store one record: an account identifier Google gives us, the email address on that Google account, and the list of event page addresses you have saved. Nothing else — no name, no profile picture, and no record of what you looked at. Google handles the sign-in itself and never gives us your password. The record is held in Google Cloud Firestore in Columbus, Ohio.

Signing in offers to copy the events already saved in your browser into that record. If you decline, they stay on your device and are not uploaded. Signing out puts your browser back to the list it had before you signed in.

Ask us to delete your account and we delete the record, including the saved list. Deletion means deletion, not deactivation. Email Contact@Irondigitalmi.com.

Event filters and the selected view are included in the page URL. This tab also keeps your last results URL and scroll position in session storage so you can return to the same place. This storage stays on your device.

Change reports

A change report sends the event, the correction, your source link, and your optional reply address to our server on Render and to Resend for email delivery to the editor. We use the information to review the listing and reply if needed. Reports do not enroll you in the newsletter.

Email reports stay in the editor's inbox while needed to handle corrections. Contact the editor to request removal of a report or subscriber record. Servers process request addresses to deliver the service and limit spam.

Sponsorship inquiries

Our advertising form sends your business name, contact name and email, website, selected offer, preferred date and message to our server on Render and through Resend to our notification inbox. We use these details to reply and manage a potential booking. They are not sent to analytics or used to subscribe you to the newsletter. Inquiries remain in our inbox while needed for the conversation or booking; contact the editor to request removal. Advertisers receive aggregate campaign results, not visitor contact details.

Optional maps

Opening a map loads Leaflet from unpkg and map tiles from OpenStreetMap. Those services receive normal connection information, such as your IP address and the referring site. We do not request your device location. Search filters run in your browser.

The weekly email

If you sign up, the list is run by beehiiv, and they hold your email address, the date you joined, and whether you opened an issue or clicked a link in it. That is theirs to hold under their own policy, not ours.

You confirm by email before anything is sent, so nobody can put your address on the list but you. Every issue carries a one-click unsubscribe. You can contact the editor to request deletion of your subscriber record. The list is never sold, rented or shared, and we do not use it to work out anything about you beyond whether last week's picks were any good.

The submission form

The form for telling us about an event sends nothing over the internet. It opens your own email program with the message written out, and nothing leaves your device until you press send there. After that we have your email address, because you emailed us, and we use it to reply.

Links off this site

Nearly every listing links to a ticket seller or an organizer. Once you follow one of those links you are on their site, under their rules, and this page stops applying. Ticket sellers in particular track a great deal more than we do.

We are not paid by any ticket seller, and no link on this site earns us anything.

Hosting

The site is served by GitHub Pages. Like every web host, GitHub receives the request your browser makes — including your IP address — in order to send the page back. We have no access to those logs.

Changes, and how to reach us

If any of this changes, this page changes, and the edit is recorded in the log of edits like every other change to this site.
