What we count

We use GoatCounter to count page views. It records which page was read, roughly what part of the world the request came from, and what kind of browser it was. It sets no cookie, builds no profile, and cannot follow you to any other website. That is why there is no consent banner here — there is nothing to consent to.

If your browser sends a Do Not Track signal, nothing is counted at all: the counting script is never loaded. Most sites ignore that signal. We would rather have a smaller number and mean it.

What we do not do

• No accounts, no logins, no passwords. There is nothing here to sign into.
• No advertising network, no tracking pixels, no social media embeds.
• No selling or sharing anything about you, because we hold nothing about you to sell.
• No mailing list, unless and until we build one and ask you to join it.

The submission form

The form for telling us about an event sends nothing over the internet. It opens your own email program with the message written out, and nothing leaves your device until you press send there. After that we have your email address, because you emailed us, and we use it to reply.

Links off this site

Nearly every listing links to a ticket seller or an organizer. Once you follow one of those links you are on their site, under their rules, and this page stops applying. Ticket sellers in particular track a great deal more than we do.

We are not paid by any ticket seller, and no link on this site earns us anything.

Hosting

The site is served by GitHub Pages. Like every web host, GitHub receives the request your browser makes — including your IP address — in order to send the page back. We have no access to those logs.

Changes, and how to reach us

If any of this changes, this page changes, and the edit is recorded in the log of edits like every other change to this site.
